How it Works
- Short Line and Regional Railroads, related organizations and businesses subscribe to ERS-Shorline by visting www.ers-shortline.com and complete the required forms.
- Once their account has been established, these organizations login to the system to build and implement their own Safety/Security Compliance Programs for their internal and contractor workforce.
- Compliance Programs can include Personnel Screening, Compliance Awareness and Testing, Workplace Credentialing and more.
- Contractors, vendors and suppliers are instructed to become subscribers to ERS-ShortLine and register with their clients on the system.
- Organizations register so that they can make personnel assignments relative to their clients via the system. Additionally, personnel may also be assigned to compliance programs that were created by their own employer.
- Making a personnel assignment on the system enrolls the personnel in any compliance program associated with their assignment.
- Once assigned, employers direct their personnel to login to the system where they may be required to complete various compliance tasks associated with their assignments.
- Successful completion of compliance tasks can result in personnel assignments being approved for issuance of required credentialing, authorized site access and more.
- The entire process can be monitored and managed from one, easy-to-use, web-based platform.
- No additional software or equipment is required and the system can be securely accessed from any PC, anywhere at any time.
